As a tech company, our mission is to make compliance simple, fast, and efficient. With LENO, there’s no need for duplicate data entry – the AI takes care of that. Approvals and coordination? Done in just a few clicks. And when the regulator comes knocking, one click is all it takes.
To keep improving, we at LeanMind work in an interdisciplinary team of software engineers and regulatory experts – fully remote, with maximum flexibility. Personal interaction? Happens regularly, both online and offline.
Working at LeanMind
“It must be possible to do this better” – that was the spark that led to the founding of LeanMind GmbH. After many years as a risk management consultant in the financial sector, Hussam Greg wanted to create a platform that represents governance, risk, and compliance in an integrated, efficient, and up-to-date way. Usability was especially important: employees in banks and insurance companies should be able to use LENO after a brief onboarding – and enjoy working with it.
After the company was founded on July 9, 2021, Hussam Greg initially worked with a team of freelance developers who built the first fully functional application. Since then, the platform’s features have steadily expanded. Since 2022, LeanMind has hired its first employees and has been growing organically.
The customer base has steadily increased since the founding. Companies use LENO as a cloud-based solution along with consulting services provided by experienced consultants.
What makes working at a smaller company so appealing?
One key factor for us is the way roles are designed. In a smaller organization, not every task or topic has its own dedicated person yet, so roles tend to be broader. Topics that don’t yet require full-time attention are combined or assigned to existing roles. For employees, this offers the opportunity to expand their skills into adjacent or even completely new areas, and to discover new possibilities for themselves.
It’s also easier to see the purpose of one’s work, as people can understand and influence larger process chains. Without judgment — people tend to be either “specialist tools” or “Swiss army knives.” And in smaller companies, we need people who enjoy variety. For us, that means we only hire full-stack developers.
Of course, some prefer backend, others frontend, but in the end, everyone can do everything. Our consultants work directly with clients, but they’re also closely involved in product development. And when it comes to internal roles, many topics land there that aren’t yet clearly assigned elsewhere.
When you apply with us, you share a lot of personal information — and we take that trust seriously. Whether your application comes through LinkedIn, email, or our careers page, it will only be accessed by those directly involved in the hiring process for your specific role.
If we don’t move forward together, we’ll let you know as soon as possible and close the process on our side. Your data will only be used for this specific application process — unless you’ve given us permission to keep your documents on file for longer.
In any case, we delete all application data no later than six months after the process ends. You can count on that.
